566 - Muhammad ibn 'Awf ibn Sufyan al-Humsi informed us, saying: Ahmad ibn Hanbal said regarding the hadith of Abu al-Mughirah concerning the story of 'A'ishah regarding 'Uthman; Ahmad ibn Hanbal said: "Then 'A'ishah mentioned a hadith by which she favored 'Uthman over 'Ali."
٥٦٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْفِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ الْحِمْصِيُّ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي الْمُغِيرَةِ قِصَّةِ عَائِشَةَ فِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ ⦗٣٩٥⦘ حَنْبَلٍ: «ثُمَّ ذَكَرَتْ عَائِشَةُ حَدِيثًا فَضَّلَتْ بِهِ عُثْمَانَ عَلَى عَلِيٍّ»
