384 - I heard Ahmad b. Yahya al-Nahwi (Tha'lab) being asked about the tradition of 'A'isha on the Day of the Camel: 'She remembered her father who had burdened him with the "wahf" (slip) of leadership.' He said: 'She means the "zalal" (slip/error).' It was said to him: 'Burdened him with the "zalal"?' He replied: 'Burdened him, meaning he assumes the responsibility of the "zalal".' He also said: '"Wahafa yahifu" is used when one slips.'
