595 - 'Ali ibn Sahl ibn al-Mughirah informed us, saying: Someone who attended the assembly of 'Asim narrated to me, and Ahmad said: 'If a speaker were to ask: "Who is after 'Uthman?" I would say: "'Ali."'
٥٩٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ حَضَرَ مَجْلِسَ عَاصِمٍ، فَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ: " فَإِنْ قَالَ قَائِلٌ: مَنْ بَعْدَ عُثْمَانَ؟ قُلْتُ: عَلِيٌّ "
