390 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Matar informed us, he said: Abu Talib narrated to us, that he asked Abu 'Abd Allah [Ahmad ibn Hanbal] about the "two 'Umars." He replied: "'Umar ibn al-Khattab and 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz, may Allah have mercy upon them both."
٣٩٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَطَرٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو طَالِبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْعُمَرَيْنِ،؟ قَالَ «عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، وَعُمَرُ بْنُ الْعَزِيزِ، رَحِمَهُمَا اللَّهُ»
