Muhammad ibn 'Ali informed us, saying: Abu Bakr al-Athram narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Jawwas Abu 'Asim al-Hanafi narrated to us, saying: Abu Hurayrah al-Mukattib, Hubab, narrated to us, saying: We were with al-A'mash, and they mentioned 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz and his justice. Al-A'mash said: "What if you had seen Mu'awiyah?" They said: "O Abu Muhammad, do you mean in his forbearance?" He replied: "No, by Allah, but rather in his justice."
