725 - It was read to 'Abd Allah ibn Ahmad while I was listening, and he said: My father [Ahmad ibn Hanbal] narrated to me, saying: Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, who said: "The discord (fitna) occurred, and not a single one of the people of Badr remained." And Yahya said another time: "And not a single one of the Emigrants (Muhajirun) remained."
٧٢٥ - قُرِئَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ: " وَقَعَتِ الْفِتْنَةُ وَلَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ أَحَدٌ. وَقَالَ يَحْيَى مَرَّةً: وَلَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ أَحَدٌ "
