759 - Abu Bakr al-Marrudhi informed us, saying: Abd al-Samad narrated to me, saying: Bishr said: Abd Allah ibn Idris said: "If the Byzantines (al-Rum) were to take captive from the Muslims [a number of people] spanning from the lands of the Byzantines to al-Hila, and then a man were to redeem them, yet he harbored in his heart some [animosity] toward the Companions of Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, Allah would not accept that from him."
٧٥٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، قَالَ: قَالَ ⦗٤٧٨⦘ بِشْرٌ: قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ: «لَوْ أَنَّ الرُّومَ سَبَوْا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنَ الرُّومِ إِلَى الْحِيلَةِ ثُمَّ رَدَّهُمْ رَجُلٌ فِي قَلْبِهِ شَيْءٌ عَلَى أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا قَبْلَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ ذَلِكَ»
