769 - Ya'qub ibn Sufyan al-Farisi informed us, saying: Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan al-Muharibi related to us, saying: Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Muharibi reported to us, from Ubaydah al-Hadhdha', from Umar Abu Hafs, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Verily, Allah chose me and chose companions for me, and He made them my companions, my brothers-in-law, and my supporters. A people will come after you who will revile them—or he said: 'diminish them'—so do not sit with them, do not eat with them, do not drink with them, do not marry among them, do not pray with them, and do not perform the funeral prayer over them."
