774 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Sadaqah informed me, saying: I heard Amr ibn Muhammad al-Rasibi—who is trustworthy—say: Abu Abd Allah Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hanbal said: "Regarding the 'qarn' (century/generation) and its duration—Abu Bakr ibn Sadaqah added: 'and its explanation'—there is nothing more authentic than the hadith of Abd Allah ibn Busr that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: 'This boy shall live for a qarn.' He said: So he lived for one hundred years."
