371 - Abd Allah b. Ahmad informed us, saying: My father related to me, saying: Umm Umar bint Hassan b. Zayd related to us—my father said: "A trustworthy old woman"—she said: Sa'id b. Yahya b. Qays b. 'Abs related to me, from his father, who said: It reached me that Hafsa bint Umar said to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "When you are ill, do you put Abu Bakr forward?" He replied: "It is not I who puts him forward, but rather Allah puts him forward."
