451 - 'Abd Allah ibn Ahmad informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Yazid related to us, saying: Yahya ibn Yaman related to us, saying: Sufyan related to us, from Jahdar, [who] said—Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: Ibn Har'ah said, from 'Ata', who said: I heard 'A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, saying: "'Ali is the most knowledgeable of people regarding the Sunnah."
٤٥١ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَمَانٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ جَحْدَرٍ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: فَقَالَ ابْنُ حَرْعَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا تَقُولُ: «عَلِيٌّ أَعْلَمُ النَّاسِ بِالسُّنَّةِ»
