884 - Ahmad ibn al-Husayn ibn Hassan informed me, saying: Abu Abdullah was asked about the hadith, "Every newborn is born upon the fitra, then his parents make him a Jew or a Christian." He said: "The fitra is that upon which Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, created the people."
٨٨٤ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ حَدِيثِ، «كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ، فَأَبَوَاهُ يُهَوِّدَانِهِ أَوْ يُنَصِّرَانِهِ» ، فَقَالَ: «الْفِطْرَةُ الَّتِي فَطَرَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الَّتِي فَطَرَ النَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا»
