904 - Muhammad ibn Abi Harun informed me that Ishaq narrated to them that Abu 'Abd Allah was asked about the decree (al-Qadar), and he said: "The decree is what Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has decreed upon the servants." A man asked: "If he commits adultery, is it by decree? And if he steals, is it by decree?" He replied: "Yes, Allah has decreed it upon him."
٩٠٤ - أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي هَارُونَ، أَنَّ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَهُمْ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْقَدَرِ، فَقَالَ: " الْقَدَرُ قَدَّرَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَى الْعِبَادِ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: إِنْ زَنَى فَبِقَدَرٍ، وَإِنْ سَرَقَ فَبِقَدَرٍ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، اللَّهُ قَدَّرَهُ عَلَيْهِ "
