Abd al-Malik said: Abu 'Abd Allah mentioned to me, saying: Wahb ibn Munabbih performed the Hajj in the year one hundred. 'Ata' and al-Hasan went to him after the night prayer (al-'isha' al-akhirah) to greet him and to remind him of something regarding the matter of al-qadar (divine decree). He began [speaking] on a chapter of praise [to Allah], and he remained in that state until the dawn broke; they dispersed without having discussed anything with him.
