Translation · EN

921 - Muhammad ibn Abi Harun informed me that Ishaq narrated to them, saying: I was with Abu 'Abd Allah one day when a man came and said to him: 'So-and-so said that Allah has compelled the servants to obey.' He replied: 'What a wretched thing he has said.'

922 - Muhammad ibn 'Ali al-Simsar informed us, saying: Muhanna narrated to us, saying: I asked Abu 'Abd Allah about Mansur ibn Sa'd, and he said: 'He is a Basran.' I said: 'Did Ibn Mahdi narrate from him anything other than that hadith?' He replied: 'Yes, he narrated from him another strange hadith.' I said: 'Mention it to me.' So he narrated it to me, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi, from Mansur ibn Sa'd, from 'Ammar ibn Abi 'Ammar, and then he mentioned the hadith.
