927 - Abu Bakr informed us, saying: Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn al-Walid, the companion of Ghundar, narrated to me, saying: Abu Ya'qub al-Tustari, who was among the best of the Muslims, informed me, saying: Mu'adh ibn Mu'adh spoke words by which he intended to oppose the Qadariyyah. This reached Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan, so he sent his son, Muhammad, saying: 'You have attained the company of Ibn 'Awn and Yunus; have you heard any of them speak with such words?'
