944 - Harb ibn Isma'il al-Kirmani informed me, saying: I said to Ishaq—meaning Ibn Rahwayh: "What is the meaning of His statement: 'None of you should be an imma'ah (a weak-minded follower)'?" He said: "He says: 'If the people go astray, I go astray, and if they are guided, I am guided.'"
٩٤٤ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي حَرْبُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِإِسْحَاقَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَاهَوَيْهِ: مَا مَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ: «لَا يَكُونُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِمَّعَةً» ، قَالَ: يَقُولُ: إِنْ ضَلَّ النَّاسُ ضَلَلْتُ، وَإِنْ اهْتَدَوُا اهْتَدَيْتُ
