960 - Abu Bakr al-Marrudhi informed us that it was said to Abu 'Abd Allah: 'Who is the Murji'? He said: 'The Murji' is the one who says: Faith is [merely] speech.'
٩٦٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قِيلَ لَهُ: مَنِ الْمُرْجِئُ؟ قَالَ: " الْمُرْجِئُ الَّذِي يَقُولُ: الْإِيمَانُ قَوْلٌ "
