973 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hazim informed us that Ishaq ibn Mansur narrated to them, saying: I asked Ishaq: 'Does faith have a limit such that we can say: A person has perfected [their] faith?' He said: 'No, because all obedience is part of faith; thus, it is not possible for us to testify to perfection for anyone except the Prophets, or those for whom the Prophets have testified [would enter] Paradise, because the Prophets, even if they committed sins, those sins were forgiven before they were created.'
٩٧٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ ⦗٥٦٩⦘، أَنَّ إِسْحَاقَ بْنَ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِإِسْحَاقَ: هَلْ لِلْإِيمَانِ مُنْتَهًى حَتَّى نَسْتَطِيعَ أَنْ نَقُولَ: الْمَرْءُ مُسْتَكْمِلُ الْإِيمَانِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا؛ لِأَنَّ جَمِيعَ الطَّاعَةِ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ، فَلَا يُمْكِنُ أَنْ نَشْهَدَ بِاسْتِكْمَالٍ لِأَحَدٍ إِلَّا الْأَنْبِيَاءَ، أَوْ مَنْ شَهِدَ لَهُ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ بِالْجَنَّةِ؛ لِأَنَّ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانُوا أَذْنَبُوا فَقَدْ غُفِرَ ذَلِكَ الذَّنْبُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُخْلَقُوا»
