978 - Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Wasil al-Muqri' informed me that Abu Abd Allah was asked about someone who says: 'Faith is speech without action, and it increases but does not decrease.' He said: 'This is the position of the Murji'ah.'
٩٧٨ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ وَاصِلٍ الْمُقْرِئُ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ سُئِلَ: مَنْ قَالَ: الْإِيمَانُ قَوْلٌ بِلَا عَمَلٍ، وَهُوَ يَزِيدُ وَلَا يَنْقُصُ، قَالَ: «هَذَا قَوْلُ الْمُرْجِئَةِ»
