Volume 3 · Page 226Among the arguments used by the Murji'ah to interpret the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: 'He is not one of us' or 'He is not like us'; the Murji'ah intended by this that whoever commits fraud or does any of these deeds is outside this religion, but it is not as they say, and Ahmad ibn Hanbal has explained it

Translation · EN

Among the arguments used by the Murji'ah is their interpretation of the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "He is not one of us," and "He is not like us." The Murji'ah intended by this that whoever cheats or performs any of these actions is outside of this religion. It is not as they claim, and Ahmad ibn Hanbal has provided the interpretation for it.
