1022 - 'Abd al-Malik informed me, saying: Qutaybah narrated to us, saying: Layth narrated to us, from Ibn al-Hadi, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith, from 'Amir ibn Sa'd, from al-'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "He has tasted the flavor of faith who is content with Allah as Lord, with Islam as a religion, and with Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, as a Prophet."
١٠٢٢ - وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: ثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِي، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «ذَاقَ طَعْمَ الْإِيمَانِ مَنْ رَضِيَ اللَّهَ رَبًّا، وَبِالْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَبِيًّا»
