1042 - Abu Bakr al-Marrudhi informed us, saying: I heard Ishaq ibn Buhlul say: I asked Ibn 'Uyaynah about faith, and he said: "It is statement and action, it increases and decreases. Do you not read: {That they may add faith to their faith} [Al-Fath: 4]."
١٠٤٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنَ بُهْلُولٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الْإِيمَانِ، فَقَالَ: " قَوْلٌ وَعَمَلٌ، يَزِيدُ وَيَنْقُصُ، أَمَا تَقْرَأُ: {لِيَزْدَادُوا إِيمَانًا مَعَ إِيمَانِهِمْ} [الفتح: ٤] "
