1045 - Muhammad ibn Abi Harun informed us that Ishaq narrated to them, he said: I asked Abu 'Abd Allah about faith and its decrease. He said: Its decrease is [demonstrated by] the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "The adulterer does not commit adultery while he is a believer, and he does not steal while he is a believer."
١٠٤٥ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي هَارُونَ، أَنَّ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْإِيمَانِ وَنُقْصَانِهِ، قَالَ: نُقْصَانُهُ قَوْلُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَزْنِي الزَّانِي حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ، وَلَا يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ»
