1050 - Harb ibn Isma'il informed me, saying: I heard Ahmad say regarding the salutation to the people of the graves that he said: "And we, if Allah wills, will join you." He said: "This is proof for the exception (al-istithna') in faith, because there is no doubt that joining them is inevitable. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: 'You will surely enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah wills' [Al-Fath: 27], and this is also proof, because they were certainly going to enter it."
