1052 - Abu Bakr al-Marwudhi and Abu Dawud al-Sijistani informed us; Abu Bakr said: Abu Abd Allah narrated to us, and Abu Dawud al-Sijistani said: I heard Abu Abd Allah say: I heard Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan saying: "I have not encountered any of our companions, nor has it reached us, except [they were all] upon [the view of] the exception (al-istithna')."
١٠٥٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَقَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ،: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانَ، يَقُولُ: «مَا أَدْرَكْتُ أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا، وَلَا بَلَغَنَا إِلَّا عَلَى الِاسْتِثْنَاءِ»
