1082 - al-Maymuni informed us, saying: Abu al-Hasan Surayj ibn al-Nu'man narrated to us, saying: 'Abd Allah ibn Nafi' narrated to us, saying: Malik used to say: "Faith is speech and action; it increases and decreases, and the mention of Gabriel and Michael is disliked, and is a reality in discourse."
١٠٨٢ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَيْمُونِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ مَالِكٌ يَقُولُ: «الْإِيمَانُ قَوْلٌ وَعَمَلٌ، يَزِيدُ وَيَنْقُصُ، وَيُكْرَهُ ذِكْرُ جِبْرِيلَ وَمِيكَائِيلَ، وَحَقٌّ فِي الْكَلَامِ»
