825 - Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Muhammad ibn Abi Harun informed me that Abu al-Harith said: A group came to us, and they mentioned that they were from al-Raqqah, so we directed this question to Abu Abd Allah: 'What do you say regarding one who claims that it is permissible for him to speak about the faults of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?' Abu Abd Allah replied: 'This is an evil, vile statement. These people are to be avoided, not sat with, and their situation should be clarified to the people.'
