869 - Abu Bakr informed us, saying: 'Ali ibn 'Uthman al-Nufayli narrated to us, saying: Abu Mushir narrated to us, saying: Hiql narrated to us, from al-Awza'i: A man wrote to me: "To proceed: Exhort people to acquire knowledge, for no man will go forth except that he will be more negligent in Islam than through [mere] abandonment. And peace."
