1089 - And Zakariyya ibn al-Faraj informed me, from Ahmad ibn al-Qasim, who said: I heard Abu Abd Allah [Ahmad ibn Hanbal] saying: Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Amir ibn Sa'd, from his father, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), regarding the man whom he [the Prophet] did not include [in the giving of charity]. Sa'd said: "By Allah, O Messenger of Allah, I surely see him as a believer." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then said: "Or a Muslim." He [al-Khallal] said: Both Ibn Abi Dhi'b and Ma'mar narrated it.
