1382 - Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: Waki' narrated to us, he said: Hanzalah al-Jumahi narrated to us, from 'Ikrimah ibn Khalid, from Ibn 'Umar, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Islam is built upon five [pillars]: The testimony that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah, the establishment of prayer, the payment of zakat, the pilgrimage to the House, and the fast of Ramadan."

1383 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, he said: Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Mansur, from Salim, from Yazid ibn Bishr, from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) the same. It was said to Ibn 'Umar: "And what about jihad?" He replied: "Jihad is good, but this is how the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) narrated it to us."
