1159 - Al-Maymuni informed us, saying: al-Qa'nabi narrated to us, from Malik, from Salamah ibn Safwan al-Zuraqi, from Yazid ibn Talhah ibn Rukanah, in a marfu' (elevated) report, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "For every religion there is a character, and the character of Islam is modesty."
١١٥٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَيْمُونِيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ الزُّرَقِيِّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ، يَرْفَعُهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لِكُلِّ دِينٍ خُلُقٌ، وَخُلُقُ الْإِسْلَامِ الْحَيَاءُ»
