1569 - Abu Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, saying: Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, from Ya'la ibn Hakim, from Abu Labid, who said: We went on a military expedition to Kabul with Abd al-Rahman ibn Samurah, and the people acquired some sheep and began to plunder them. Abd al-Rahman ordered a herald to announce: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "Whoever plunders (by taking) loot is not one of us." So, return these sheep.' They returned them, and he divided them among them equally.
