1630 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Mu'awiyah narrated to us, saying: Al-A'mash narrated to us, from Zayd ibn Wahb, who said: A man among the hypocrites died, and Hudhayfah did not pray over him. So 'Umar said to him: "Is he among the people [the list of hypocrites known to Hudhayfah]?" He said: "Yes." He [the narrator] said: So he [Umar] said: "By Allah, am I among them?" He [Hudhayfah] said: "No, and I will not inform anyone after you."
١٦٣٠ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ، قَالَ: ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ: مَاتَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُنَافِقِينَ، فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ حُذَيْفَةُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ: " أَمِنَ الْقَوْمِ هُوَ؟، فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: فَقَالَ: بِاللَّهِ، فَمِنْهُمْ أَنَا؟ قَالَ: لَا، وَلَنْ أُخْبِرَ أَحَدًا بَعْدَكَ "
