1631 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us, from Mansur, and Yahya, from Shu'bah, who said: Mansur narrated to me, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Abd Allah, who said: "There are three things, whoever possesses them is a hypocrite, and if one possesses only one of them, then one possesses a quality of hypocrisy until one abandons it: if he speaks, he lies; if he makes a promise, he breaks it; and if he is entrusted, he betrays it."
١٦٣١ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، وَيَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورٌ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: «ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ كَانَ مُنَافِقًا، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ فِيهِ خَصْلَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ، كَانَتْ فِيهِ خَصْلَةٌ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ حَتَّى يَدَعَهَا، وَإِنْ حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ، وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ، ⦗٦٨⦘ وَإِذَا ائْتُمِنَ خَانَ»
