1642 - He said: Abu 'Abd Allah narrated to us, saying: Waki' narrated to us, saying: Sufyan narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from 'Abd Allah ibn Murrah, from Masruq, from 'Abd Allah ibn 'Amr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "There are four (traits) which, whoever possesses them, is a pure hypocrite, and whoever possesses one of them has a trait of hypocrisy until he abandons it: when he makes a promise, he breaks it; when he speaks, he lies; when he disputes, he acts immorally; and when he enters into a covenant, he betrays it."
١٦٤٢ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ثنا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ: " أَرْبَعٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ كَانَ مُنَافِقًا خَالِصًا، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ فِيهِ خَصْلَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ كَانَتْ فِيهِ خَصْلَةٌ مِنَ النِّفَاقِ حَتَّى يَدَعَهَا: إِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ، وَإِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ، وَإِذَا خَاصَمَ فَجَرَ، وَإِذَا عَاهَدَ غَدَرَ "
