1707 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Matar informed us—and Ibn Yahya mentioned it—that Abu Talib narrated to him that he said to Abu 'Abd Allah: "They sometimes say: 'We shall fight them and rise up against them.'" He replied: "No, we do not want the sword. A trial (fitnah) will occur in which the innocent will be killed. Supplication (al-du'a'), you must resort to it."
