1726 - Ahmad ibn Bahr al-Saffar al-Mukharrimi informed me, saying: Ahmad ibn al-Hasan al-Tirmidhi related to us, saying: I heard Ahmad ibn Hanbal say: "Al-Mirrisi was a man of oratorical speeches, not a man of proofs." At that time, he [al-Mirrisi] was still alive.
