1735 - Muhammad ibn 'Ali informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Isma'il related to us, saying: I heard al-Buwayti, Yusuf ibn Yahya al-Qurashi, say: I heard al-Shafi'i say: I discussed this Hadith with al-Mirrisi—meaning the Hadith of the casting of lots among the six enslaved persons—and he said: 'This is gambling.' So I went to Abu al-Bakhtari, and he said: 'O Abu 'Abd Allah, give me another witness, and I will hang him on the wood (gallows) and crucify him.'
