1758 - Abdullah ibn Ahmad ibn Hanbal informed us, saying: I heard my father say: I heard Bishr ibn al-Walid say: "Ibn Abi Du'ad was asked to repent for the doctrine that the Quran is created three times in one night; he would repent, then return, then repent, then return."
١٧٥٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ بِشْرَ بْنَ الْوَلِيدِ، يَقُولُ: «اسْتُتِيبَ ابْنُ أَبِي دَاوُدَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَخْلُوقٌ فِي لَيْلَةٍ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَتُوبُ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ لِيَتُوبَ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ»
