1784 - Abu Bakr al-Marwadhi informed us, saying: I asked Abu Abd Allah about a man from the Waqifah (those who practice non-committal regarding the Quran) who stops [from committing to a position] on this matter and speaks [about it]; he replied: "This person is a caller [to innovation], he is a Jahmi; we have no doubt about this."
١٧٨٤ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْمَرُّوذِيُّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْوَاقِفَةِ يَقِفُ فِي الْمَوْضِعِ وَيَتَكَلَّمُ، قَالَ: «هَذَا دَاعِيَةٌ، هَذَا جَهْمِيٌّ، لَا نَشُكُّ فِي هَذَا»
