1793 - Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Matar informed me, saying: Abu Talib narrated to me, saying: I heard one of them asking you about an Imam of ours who adopted the position of waqf (suspension of judgment regarding the Quran). Abu Abd Allah shouted at them. He said: Then one of them said to the other: You hear Abu Abd Allah; he is telling you that he has disliked speech on this matter. Abu Abd Allah said: Turn them away. I shouted at them. Abu Abd Allah then said: "Whoever doubts is a disbeliever, and whoever adopts the position of waqf is a disbeliever."
