1809 - Abu Dawud informed us, saying: I heard Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah say: "These people who say 'The speech of Allah' and remain silent [on the issue of it being created or uncreated] are worse than those [who openly say]: 'The Quran is created.'"
١٨٠٩ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَ: «هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ كَلَامُ اللَّهِ وَيَسْكُتُونَ شَرٌّ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ» يَعْنِي: مِمَّنْ قَالَ: الْقُرْآنُ مَخْلُوقٌ
