1812 - Muhammad ibn al-Naqib ibn Abi Harb al-Jarjara'i informed us, saying: I asked Abu 'Abd Allah about a man who has a Waqifi father. He said: "He should command him [to the truth] and be gentle with him." I said: "If he refuses, should he cut off his tongue [i.e., stop speaking] to him?" He replied: "Yes."
