Seclusion and Poets

186 - ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us, and Abū Bakr al-ʿAnbarī recited to me:

Would that the wild beasts were our neighbors, And that we saw none of those whom we see!

For the wild beasts rest quiet in their habitats, While the evil of people is never at rest.

So flee with yourself and find comfort in its solitude; You will remain happy whenever you are alone.
