٥٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثَنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْخَوَّاصِ، قَالَ: قِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ شَكَوْكَ أَنْ تَمُرَّ وَلا تُسَلِّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ، فَقَالَ: وَاللَّهِ مَا ذَاكَ لِفَضْلٍ أَرَاهُ عِنْدِي، وَلَكِنِّي شِبْهُ الْحَشِّ، إِذَا ثَوَرْتُهُ ثَارَ، وَإِذَا قَعَدْتُ مَع النَّاسِ جَاءَ مِنِّي مَا أُرِيدُ وَمَا لا أُرِيدُ " (١) .
