interpreting texts when they contradict what he believes!!

Ibn Taymiyya, may Allah have mercy on him, said in Majmūʿ al-Fatāwā (5/184): "This is well-known from Ibn al-Mubārak, established from him through more than one route, and it is also authentic and established from Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal, Isḥāq b. Rāhawayh, and more than one of the Imams." End quote.

I say: The first to explicitly affirm Al-Ḥadd for God Almighty, as the people of the Sunna mention, is: ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Mubārak, may Allah have mercy on him. Then the Imams of the people of the Sunna followed one another upon that after him.

Al-Lālakāʾī, may Allah have mercy on him, said in Iʿtiqād Ahl al-Sunna (2/388): "ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Mubārak met a group of the Successors such as: Sulaymān al-Taymī, Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl, and others. There was no one in Islam during his time who traveled more than him, sought knowledge more, gathered more of it, had better knowledge of it, had a better biography, or a more pleasing path than him. He perhaps narrates from a thousand sheikhs among the followers of the Successors." End quote.

Aswad b. Sālim, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "Ibn al-Mubārak was an Imam to be emulated; he was among the firmest of people upon the Sunna. If you see a man criticizing Ibn al-Mubārak for anything, then accuse him regarding his Islam."

Ibn Taymiyya, may Allah have mercy on him, said in Al-Tisʿīniyya (2/563): "ʿAbd Allāh b. al-Mubārak, upon whose leadership and eminence the sects of the Umma have formed a consensus, to the point that it was said: He is the Commander of the Believers in everything. And it was said: Khurasan has not produced anyone like Ibn al-Mubārak." End quote.
