So the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: "Glory be to God! Glory be to God!"
And he continued to glorify God until that was recognized in the faces of his Companions, then he said:
"Woe to you! Do you know what God is?! His status is greater than that; because my intercession is not sought (1) with God. Indeed, He is above His heavens upon His Throne, and He is upon it like this." - And Wahb gestured with his hand like a dome over it, and Abu al-Azhar also gestured -, "Indeed, it creaks under Him like the creaking of a saddle under the rider." [17/B]
30- Abu Muhammad al-Baghawi said: This is a hadith that Abu Dawud Sulayman bin al-Ash'ath cited in "al-Radd 'ala al-Jahmiyya wa-al-Mu'tazila" (2).
There has been disagreement regarding the Chain of transmission of the hadith of the creaking (al-aṭīṭ) from Wahb b. Jarīr:
A - It is narrated by Muḥammad b. Bashshār, Muḥammad b. al-Muthannā, and ʿAbd al-Aʿlā b. Ḥammād; all of them from Wahb b. Jarīr, from his father, from Muḥammad b. Isḥāq, from Yaʿqūb b. ʿUtba, and Jubayr b. Muḥammad b. Jubayr b. Muṭʿim, from his father, from his grandfather, with it.
1- The narration of Muḥammad b. Bashshār.
It is narrated by: Abū Dāwūd (4726), Ibn Khuzayma in al-Tawḥīd (147), ʿUthmān al-Dārimī in al-Naqḍ (110) and in al-Radd ʿalā al-Jahmiyya (71), Ibn Manda in al-Tawḥīd (644), and al-Bayhaqī in al-Asmāʾ wa-al-Ṣifāt (884).
2- The narration of Muḥammad b. al-Muthannā.
It is narrated by: Abū Dāwūd (884) and (4726), and Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim in al-Sunna (587),
