3- Isrāʾīl. There is disagreement over him regarding its transmission as mursal and marfūʿ from ʿUmar, may God be pleased with him.

  • It was narrated as marfūʿ from ʿUmar, may God be pleased with him, by: Yaḥyā b. Abī Bukayr, from Isrāʾīl, with it.

It was narrated from him with that by each of:

a- ʿAbdullāh b. Ziyād al-Qaṭawānī. Al-Ṭabarānī recorded it in "Al-Sunna"; Ibn Kathīr mentioned that in "Musnad al-Fārūq" (2/59) and in "Al-Tafsīr" (1/681).

It was narrated from al-Ṭabarānī by: Ibn al-ʿAṭṭār in "Al-Futyā" (21), and al-Ḍiyāʾ in "Al-Mukhtāra" (153, and by his route al-Dashtī as preceded).

Ibn Jarīr recorded it in "Al-Tafsīr" (3/11), al-Bazzār (325), Abū al-Shaykh in "Al-ʿAẓama" (261), and Ibn Baṭṭa in "Al-Ibāna" (2695), and from him Ibn al-Jawzī in "Al-ʿIlal" (3).

b- Zuhayr. Abū Yaʿlā recorded it in "Al-Musnad al-Kabīr", and by his route al-Ḍiyāʾ in "Al-Mukhtāra" (151), and from him al-Dashtī as preceded under number (27).

Al-Haythamī mentioned it in "Al-Majmaʿ" (10/59), and Ibn Kathīr in "Musnad al-Fārūq" (2/568) and "Al-Tafsīr" (1/681).

c- Ismāʿīl b. Sālim al-Ṣāʾigh. Ibn Abī ʿĀṣim recorded it in "Al-Sunna" (586), and by his route al-Dashtī from al-Ḍiyāʾ as preceded.

d- Aḥmad b. Manṣūr. Al-Dāraquṭnī recorded it in "Al-Ṣifāt" (35).

e- ʿUthmān b. Abī Shayba. Ibn Baṭṭa recorded it in "Al-Ibāna al-Kubrā" (2695), and from him Ibn al-Jawzī in "Al-ʿIlal" (3).

f, g- Abū Bakr b. Isḥāq, and al-Ḥasan b. Nāṣiḥ.

Abū al-Shaykh recorded it in "Al-ʿAẓama" (193).

h- Al-Faḍl b. Sahl. Al-Bazzār recorded it in "Al-Musnad" (325).

i- Yaʿqūb al-Dawraqī. Ibn Khuzayma recorded it in "Al-Tawḥīd" (150-151).

However, he doubted the mention of ʿUmar, may God be pleased with him, and the correct version from Yaḥyā is: the mention of ʿUmar, may God be pleased with him.

  • It was narrated as mursal from Isrāʾīl by each of:
