between the speech of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, and the speech of the disbelievers and polytheists, while the fledglings of the Jahmiyya and the Mu'attila can distinguish between them!!
How could anyone who holds reverence and respect for the Companions in his heart permit himself to attribute such a thing to them?!
By God, how astonishing! Did their extreme ignorance reach the point that they could not differentiate between the speech that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, says narrating from the polytheists and disbelievers, and that which he says narrating from Gabriel from the Lord of the Worlds, nor between describing God with what is praise, extolment, and glorification, and describing Him with what is the opposite of that?! So reflect upon the crime of this [so-called] knowledge against the texts!
Whoever reflects upon the hadiths of the attributes, their chains of transmission, the multiplicity of their sources, and the Companions who narrated them, will know by necessity the falsehood of this possibility, and that it is among the clearest of lies and impossibilities. By God, even if a Companion of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, had said it from himself, it would be more worthy of acceptance and belief than the statement of the negating, divesting Jahmī. How much more so when he attributes it to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him?!
The point is that the Jahmiyya have set their feet in these three levels. This is one level of it: [denying] that the Messenger, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said it, and they reinforced the matter of this level by claiming that solitary reports are susceptible to falsehood." End quote.
[The specious argument only entered upon those who rejected this hadith because they thought it aligns with the claim of the Jews that when God created His creation, He rested on the Sabbath.
This specious argument is false and dispelled by the permission of God, for there is no mention in the hadith of the Jewish concept of resting. God Almighty has belied them in His Book, saying: {And We did certainly create the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and there touched Us no weariness. So be patient over what they say} [Qāf: 38-39].
God Almighty affirmed for Himself His establishment (istiwāʾ) over His Throne, saying: {Indeed, your Lord is God, who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne} [Al-Aʿrāf: 54, and Yūnus: 3], and similar verses are in Al-Sajda, Al-Insān, and Al-Ḥadīd. There is nothing in His establishment over His Throne implying that it was out of fatigue or weariness such that it would be a rest!! Exalted is God far above what the Jews say.
أحدهم بين كلام رسول الله ﷺ، وكلام الكفار والمشركين، ويميز بينهما أفراخ الجهمية والمُعطلة!!
وكيف يستجيز مَن للصَّحابةِ في قلبهِ وقارٌ وحرمةٌ أن ينسب إليهم مثل ذلك؟!
ويا لله العجب! هل بلغ بهم الجهلُ المُفرطُ إلى أن لا يفرِّقوا بين الكلام الذي يقوله رسول الله ﷺ حاكيًا عن المشركين والكفار، والذي يقوله حاكيًا له عن جبريل عن رَبِّ العالمين، ولا بين الوصف بما هو مدح وثناء وتمجيد لله، ووصفه بما هو ضد ذلك؟! فتأمل جناية هذه المعرفة على النُّصوص!
ومن تأمل أحاديثَ الصِّفات وطرقها وتعدد مخارجها ومَن رواها مِن الصَّحابة علم بالضَّرورة بطلان هذا الاحتمال، وأنه من أبين الكذب والمحال، فواللهِ لو قاله صاحب رسول الله ﷺ مِن عند نفسه لكان أولى بقبوله واعتقاده من قول الجهمي المعطل النافي، فكيف إذا نسبه إلى رسول الله ﷺ؟!
والمقصود أن هذه الدرجات الثلاث قد وضعت الجهمية أرجلهم فيها، فهذه درجة منه كون الرسول ﷺ قاله، وأكدوا أمر هذه الدرجة بأن أخبار الآحاد يتطرق إليها الكذب. اهـ
[وإنما دخلت الشبهة على من أنكر هذا الحديث لظنِّه أنه يوافق دعوى اليهود أن الله لما خلق خلقه استراح يوم السبت.
وهذه الشبهة باطلة وزائلة بإذن الله، فإنه ليس في الحديث ذكر الاستراحة اليهودية، وقد كذبهم الله عز وجل في كتابه، فقال تعالى: ﴿وَلَقَدۡ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا فِی سِتَّةِ أَیَّامࣲ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبࣲ ٣٨ فَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا یَقُولُونَ﴾ [ق: ٣٨ و ٣٩].
وأثبت الله عز وجل لنفسه استواءه على عرشه، فقال تعالى: ﴿إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ﴾ [الأعراف: ٥٤، ويونس: ٣]، ومثلها في السجدة والإنسان والحديد، وليس في استوائه على عرشه أن ذلك من تعب أو إعياء فيكون استراحة!! تعالى الله عما تقول اليهود علوًّا كبيرًا. =
